Zambia, an economy vulnerable to climate change, faces rising temperatures, droughts, floods, and unpredictable rainfall, which pose risks to its economy, livelihoods, and natural resources. This readiness grant strengthened institutional coordination, established mechanisms for integrating climate change adaptation into long-term development planning and budget processes, and prioritised adaptation actions. Valued at USD 2.2 million the grant has an implementation period of 42 months with extensive involvement from Government ministries, local communities, private sector, civil society organisations.
