The Ministry of Green Economy and Environment through the National Designated Authority (NDA) is hosting a 3 days workshop on Climate Science Information for Climate Finance and Actions in Lusaka.

The workshop is necessitated by the effects of the recent drought experienced across the country.

The workshop is aimed at:

1. Enhancing the capacity of national meteorological and hydrological staff in climate science, data interpretation and climate forecasting.

2. Equip officers from relevant sector ministries with knowledge and skills to integrate climate science information into policy making and project implementation.

3. Facilitate the exchange of best practices and foster collaboration among stakeholders to improve climate resilience and adaptation strategies.

3. Provide a platform for participants to engage with experts from World Meteorological Organization (WMO) gaining insights into global climate trends and their implications for Zambia.
